We are not mental health professionals but a community that encourages open, genuine conversation and support. Our aim is to create a safe and inclusive space where everyone can reconnect and feel heard. Our membership and support are intended to complement, not replace, professional mental health care.

Current news, conspiracy theories, politics, religion, extreme views, or offensive topics. We respect that others see the world differently, and the Society of Lost Souls supports the notion that differing and opposing views can coexist peacefully.

We will help you explore solutions, but we recognise that our judgements about what is ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ are shaped by our own biases.

We may share perspectives, insights, or possible ways forward in conversation, but we do so without passing judgement on your circumstances or decisions.

We don’t discuss bitcoin, investments, football, the weather, influencers, or celebrities. Instead, we focus on meaningful conversation about what truly matters to our members.

Participation is always on your terms. If you’d rather just listen, that’s perfectly fine. We have plenty of ideas: for some groups we plan and research what to talk about; for other groups it comes from within the group. We’re here to listen, discuss, and make sense of things together. We try not to interrupt (though we’re only human) or dominate the sessions; everyone gets their turn, and everyone is heard.

We’re not here to fix you or hand out instructions. Sometimes the group might suggest ideas, solutions, or plans, but what you do with them is entirely up to you. We’re just here to listen and talk things through.
