Who do you talk to?
When you feel lonely, isolated, or worn down by the mundanity of life.

The Society of Lost Souls
The Society of Lost Souls is a thoughtful online micro-community based in the UK, built around carefully curated and gently hosted conversation to combat loneliness.
Who is it for?
Quiet, gentle souls seeking reciprocal, meaningful conversations and connection: an antidote to loneliness, isolation, and the mundanity of daily life.
Aged 18 or over.
Especially welcoming to introverts, deep thinkers, and curious souls.
We are not a substitute for professional mental health support.
“This is a rare thing. To have the conversations you’ve been wanting to have your whole life, with people who actually want to have them too.”
Clodagh, member for seven monthsWhere and when?
We host weekly small-group Zoom sessions for up to eight members, led by an experienced host. We also normally run two or three hosted one-hour drop-in Zoom sessions each week.
What do we talk about?
Conversations cover life’s big questions: meaning, love, happiness, mortality, members’ dilemmas, escaping mundane routines and unfulfilling jobs, and sharing stories and laughter.
We’re not big on small talk. Certain subjects are off-limits, including current affairs, conspiracy theories, politics, religion, and anything offensive.
What your membership includes
A curated weekly 60-minute Zoom session in a small group of up to eight members, led by an experienced host.
We normally run two or three hosted one-hour drop-in Zoom sessions each week.
Special sessions over Christmas and New Year’s Eve for members who find the holidays hard.
How to join
Start with a free 15-minute introductory chat, either on Zoom or by phone.
There’s no pressure, no sales pitch, and no obligation. It’s simply a chance for us to meet, answer any questions, and see whether The Society of Lost Souls feels right for you.
If we’re both happy after our chat, we’ll invite you to join for an initial month. There are no card details, no payment upfront, and no contract. If, at any point, it doesn’t feel right, you can simply walk away and owe nothing for the sessions you have attended.
If it does feel right and you choose to continue, you decide on a monthly contribution that feels affordable and reflects the value you find in membership. Contributions are normally made by standing order through your bank, after each month’s sessions have taken place, including your first month. You can change or cancel your standing order at any time.
What does it cost?
The Society of Lost Souls is not a charity, and it is not run for profit. It is funded by its members, who contribute monthly based on what they can afford and the value they find in membership.
As a guideline, most members contribute between £60 and £80 a month, which helps keep the Society running for everyone. We ask you to consider your own financial circumstances, and we do not ask for proof.
You can cancel your standing order at any time. There is no notice period, and no further payments will be due.

Sometimes, the smallest act of courage is saying ‘maybe’.
Even after reading this, you may still feel unsure, and that’s OK. Doubt isn’t a sign that you shouldn’t join. It may simply mean you’re thoughtful, cautious, and protective of your wellbeing.
However, if something here speaks to you, even faintly, explore that feeling. Take your time. Trust yourself.
